Congratulations To Myself

Ha ha i really have to congratulate myself because at long last i have been promoted as a department head. It’s been two years when i took an exam for department heads. It was really a tedious one. Imagine aside from the wriiten exam, we were asked to prepare a financial report and lesson plan. We also had an on-the -spot teaching demonstration. We also underwent an interview. Whew! as if we passed on the eye of a needle. Fortunately, i passed it with flying colors. Modesty aside, i’m the lone passer. But to my dismay, one year has passed and no promotion at all. I’ve heard that someone is destroying my name. It’s crab mentality thing. I knew the person but I did not confront her. I left everything to God. The next school year, I was reranked but was exempted to examinations. We had an interview with the promotion board and thank God, i was reconsidered.

So this is it! I have just signed an assignment and probably next week there will be a send-off party. I owe this to God who is always at my side. I can feel it. I also owe this to my principal, former department head who trusted and supported me. I learned many things from them, really. My mother who has just passed away (May she rests in peace,) will surely be happy and proud of me. I really miss her.
